I want CANDY

“It’s just a snack size bar I can have one”  Come on, how many of us really only have one?   Those stupid little tasty treats keep haunting us with their sweet taste and we eventually cave in, eating like 10 of ’em!   Jeeze ,Halloween is pretty scary.  Well don’t freak out, your not alone and we will help you deal with this scary mess!

Ok so just remember the basic simple math equation… burn more calories then you take in. How do we do that, easy… MOVE YOUR BUTT! You can go take a class at the gym tonight, maybe Zumba or Spin or even a basic step class, any one of those should be good for 300-500 calories burned. Can’t make it to the gym, no problem, instead of staying home passing out the candy, go walking with your kids as they trick or treat. Throw in a little jogging here or there, get that heart rate up and burn some calories. If you have a heart rate monitor use that as your tool to calculate how many calories you burned on your walk or jog.

If you have some down time before bed, get on the floor and do some push-ups, hit  2 sets of 20 to help tone that chest and your arms. Feel like the candy went straight to your butt or thighs?  Lets do some squats, hit 2 sets of 20. Lunges, do 2 sets of 10 each leg. To tone your butt, lay down on the floor, feet flat with your knees bent, lift your butt to a bridge position and hold for 7 seconds. Do 2 sets of 15 for this one. Before you go to bed, stretch out your legs, back, arms and neck along with a few deep breaths. There, you’ll feel better and sleep peacefully instead of tossing and turning having nightmares about all the candy you ate!  Happy Halloween!!!

Jay Leno’s joke before two Love Ride bikers die hits a nerve

We had to share this story, we normally don’t like to give press to the “mainstream” media and gossipy type stuff, but as riders this one just doesn’t sit good with any of us, how do you feel about it?
From the LA Times
Moments before two Love Ride participants were killed Sunday in a freeway traffic collision, the event’s grand marshal, “The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, told a crowd of bikers that he wanted to see “somebody go down.” “Every year, [the organizer] says, ‘Drive safe,’” Leno told the crowd in kicking off the 28th annual Love Ride in Glendale. “I’m gonna say, ‘Don’t drive safe.’ I wanna see somebody go down. So it’ll be fun. I want it to be in front or behind me and see a whole row of bikes go down. Get drunk, fall off the road. We’ve all become too damn polite … we haven’t had one incident.”
About an hour later, Romarino Zeri, 51, of Los Angeles and Julie Cameron, 38, of Venice were killed when their motorcycle collided with a big rig on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Pacoima, officials said.
The big rig’s rear tires ran over the pair, whom paramedics pronounced dead at the scene, California Highway Patrol Officer José Barrios told the Glendale News-Press.
Representatives for NBC-Universal and Leno did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
The motorcycle riding community took to the blogosphere Monday, with one Love Ride participant writing that Leno’s remarks would haunt her forever.
“I wish he had not joked about that, if someone does go down, he is going to feel really bad for his comments,” she said.
