HENRY LYNN

First off, let’s deal with this name I’ve been given. I am a girl cat! Of course, once you take me home, you can re-name me, but I’m getting a little ahead of myself.
They say I’m very pretty. Look at that white triangle on my muzzle; that little pink nose; and of course that tiny gray beauty mark just beside my nose. Beautiful and unusual; that is how I would describe my markings.
I was in my previous home since I was just a little kit, and I enjoyed being the only pet there. That is also what I am looking for in my next (and hopefully last) home. Also, please no dogs. I hate to be a cliché, but I am a real scaredy cat when it comes to dogs!
I enjoy being picked up and held. I’m pretty big for a girl, so some of the smaller volunteers have a harder time getting me out of a cage on the second level. Of course, you won’t put me in a cage at home, so that point becomes moot once I am adopted. I also like being petted, so if you are looking for a loving quiet only pet, I’m your girl. Come visit me at Animal Friends!

BRADY

This is Brady, aka Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome. He’s a very sweet and affectionate boy who just loves people. In fact, he loves them so much that he has expressed his desire to be the only pet in a household. That way, he can be the center of attention with his new family. Never fear though, he has more than enough enthusiasm and affection for everyone and can easily handle the job of family dog on his own.
Brady has very good manners and would be happy to display his “sit” upon request. Of course, a small treat in exchange would make his day! He’s very intelligent and would like to continue his education once he leaves the shelter. Feel free to ask your adoption counselor for more information.
Brady would do best in a fenced yard. Being that he is a strong boy who has opinions about other dogs means that walking him in crowded urban areas isn’t always the most fun. In a yard where he can romp and run, he can cut loose and really enjoy himself. Add a few human siblings in their mid teens and wow, that’s going to be one hopping yard!

We know the perfect home for Brady is out there somewhere. Is it yours? Come meet him at Animal Friends!

MICKEY GIMENEZ

CHECK OUT THIS LIL CRUISIN’ COMPANION,  Mickey Gimenez (YORKIE) apparently is going through a pirate phase! He loves to pose & model, and is more than overjoyed when his owner/mama Jennifer dresses him up in the latest doggy fashion! The green toy in the photo had just been given to him,and ever since receiving it he has been running all over the house with it and doesnt let it out of his sight!!!

STACIE

I am a spayed orange tabby, and rather good looking if I do say so myself. Perhaps that sounds a bit arrogant, but I figure there’s nothing wrong with having pride in one’s appearance. Besides, I have a marvelous ringed tail! At a year and a half I am mature enough to know the rules, but there is still a lot of kitten in me.
My buddy Merry and I were brought to Animal Friends because we were being neglected in our former home. I am certainly looking forward to getting lots of attention in my new home.
I really like to play! I am perfectly capable of amusing myself, but I love to have my person(s) interact with me using a cat toy. I love pouncing on a toy mouse (hopefully my new home won’t have any live ones) or running into an empty paper bag and pretending it is my lair in the wilderness! Come visit me at Animal Friends!

PHIL

Phil is a friendly and sociable cat who is described by his former owner as being very affectionate. He shared his former home with children and got along with them very well.
Phil is a very handsome longhaired cat. To keep his coat looking great, he will need regular brushing to allow him to look his best. He loves being brushed and would appreciate finding an owner who will admire his appearance.
Animal Friend’s medical staff found that Phil is FIV-positive and will need to be adopted into a home where he can be the only cat, but please don’t let this stop you from talking to an adoption counselor to find out if Phil could be the cat for you. Come on over to Animal Friends and meet this cute guy!

STASH

Stash is a beautiful, big boy who loves to play! Stash is white, with some black spots near his head, incredibly soft, and remarkably sweet and loving. He is, as mentioned, a very active bunny that would defiantly benefit from lots of playtime with you, or maybe another bunny! He makes friends easily, and is quite social with people as well. If you see him in his cage exploring, and moving furniture around don’t be surprised because he does that all the time! Stash is one charming, and spirited bunny that will give you all the love in the world, and then some! So can’t you find some room in your home, and heart to adopt this adorable bunny? Come see him at Animal Friends in Pittsburgh!

HAILEY

Hailey is a stunning black and white domestic short hair. The first thing you will probably notice is the striking division of black and white running vertically on her nose. She came to Animal Friends because her former owner was moving after having Hailey for 7 years.
She is described as affectionate and sometimes spunky by her former owner. The owner also commented that Hailey was rather cordial when visitors came into the home. Hailey has never been around children but we can discuss whether or not she’d like to meet some.
Hailey loves to be scratched under the chin and on the underside of her neck. She enjoys playing with the usual assortment of cat toys, and she is used to being in a carrier, being picked up, having her nails trimmed, and even being bathed.
Here at Animal Friends Hailey has shown herself to be a little timid, but she responds well to human attention. With her background, she will make someone a wonderful pet. All that is needed is a bit of patience until she understands she is in her Forever Home. Come visit her at Animal Friends today!

D.C.

Look at that beautiful orange fur and my gorgeous gold eyes. Am I a stunner or what? I’m not just another pretty face either. I love to play. Sometimes I like to sit quietly with adult company. I’ll sit with you or you can entertain me with a toy. A nice quiet toy would be my favorite…none of these dumb things that rev up with lights or chase me across the floor!

I want to be the center of attention at home, and I really don’t want to share the spotlight with other pets or small children. If I’m you’re only pet, you’ll be able to spend more time admiring my appearance. You’ll look at me and say, “My, doesn’t DC go well against that carpet?”  Just come see for yourself at Animal Friends!

BIG MAC

I was found as a stray in the South Hills. Just take one look at me and you can tell where the “Big” in my name comes from. I’m a seven-year-old black shorthair
Since I have yet to see any ads for cat weight watchers, whoever takes me into their home will have to be very patient with me. I’ll always give you those hungry looks, but you have to maintain my strict diet to ensure some weight loss and continued good health.
So, if you promise not to make any jokes about using me for a door stop or to keep the newspaper from blowing away, I’m willing to give you a chance! Is the feeling mutual? Come visit me at Animal Friends today!
