This beautiful girl is Lady, a 2 year old Lab/Pittie mix. Isn’t her white coat with orange markings striking? Since she has been with us, Lady has been quite popular and has set up housekeeping with two different suitors. At present though, she’s living the life of a single gal in her very own “apartment” on our adoption floor. She keeps busy by practicing Open Paw and is near the top of her class in sitting. She also excels at leash walking and treat eating! She would love to continue her studies in the positive reinforcement field and would love to return to Animal Friends for obedience classes. If you have a quiet home that can accommodate a low key gal like Lady, stop by Animal friends and fill out an application. She’d love to meet you.
Hi, and thanks for taking the time to get to know me! My name is Bree. I am a four year old red ticked English Coonhound. I came to Animal Friends because I’ve heard that it is a wonderful place to find your forever home. There are a couple of things that I want to tell you about myself. Like most of my hound cousins, I have a lot of energy and love to run and play. If you’re someone who likes to get a lot of exercise, then I am the girl for you! It would be perfect if I could live somewhere with a fenced in yard so I can play safely with my toys. The folks here at Animal Friends say that I am really a sweetheart, and who am I to argue? I know how to sit and will lick your hand if you let me. All the same, because I do like to run and jump, I don’t think a house with small children would be good for me.
Editors Note, I have personally walked and spent time with Bree and Yes, she is a Sweet pup!!!
My sister and I were in a home together, but due to allergies, we found ourselves at Animal Friends. In addition to getting along with my sister, I am really a “people cat.” I’m used to being picked up, and I enjoy being petted while sitting on someone’s lap. Don’t sweat the spelling of my name. You can drop one of the “m”s once we get home; or, you can pick any other name that strikes you.
Look at my black and white face. Did you ever see such great markings in all your life? Not only that, but check out those sharp black smudges on my paws. I don’t know about talent, but if they ever come out with a show called “America’s Got Looks,” I would take first place paws down!
If you’re looking for two cats, my sister and I would make a great pair! If you already have cats, the Adoption Counselor at Animal Friends can help determine whether we’d be a good match. Most importantly, she’ll help you with the form that is the first step toward us getting together in the Get Acquainted room.
Hello there, I’m Babysnickers! I have a very scrumptious name as you can tell! It’s a cool name to have and it compliments me well. A cute name for an overly adorably bunny! I get along well with other rabbits and love to be petted by people that I trust. I tend to get used to people fairly quickly, so don’t worry if I am a little shy at first. I’ll warm up to you, and fast! If you would like to know more about me, please contact an Animal Friends Adoption Counselor or stop by anytime we’re having a Bun Run!
It’s true. I’m Beyonce the real diva here at Animal Friends. And once you’ve met me, you’ll be crazy in love with this single lady! The first thing you’ll notice about me is my gorgeous orange and white coat, but I’ve got other great attributes as well. I don’t sing, but I’m a good snuggler and love being with people. I lived with an elderly person in my old home so I’d be make a great companion for a single person or family. And not only is my adoption sponsored by one of my adoring fans, but I even come with love and a special handmade gift from the kids at Richland Elementary in Gibsonia. Thanks, Mrs. Yingling’s class! Come see me at Animal Friends!
Poof! I’m like a magic trick. One day someone found me lying in the road near a clinic. Sad, right? But then, poof!, I’m here at Animal Friends. And boy, things have gotten a lot better for me.
I’m a warm and friendly little calico who will talk to you whenever you pick me up. But I’m just saying how much I enjoy it! I’m still getting used to play with toys and things; I’d rather just snuggle with you and have you scratch me behind the ears. Speaking of ears, you might notice that one of mine is a little lopsided or “cauliflowered,” as we say in the business. I think it gives me character!
I’m not sure how I feel about other cats yet – it might depend on them, or I may just not like them very much. I know that I like people and want to be around them, so how about it? Why not come by and say hello at Animal Friends?
I’m a buff colored male domestic short hair, and I’m about 2 years old. I came to Animal Friends because my former owner had too many cats in her home. There were large dogs in the home, but if I have a choice, I’d prefer that my new home not have dogs. When I came here they asked me if I wanted to go to a home with children? Not knowing what children are, I could not answer them. If you have children, we can talk about that. I don’t mind being picked up, but I’m not at all sure I want to be held for long periods of time. I do, however, like to play, and at my young age, I have plenty of play-energy! How about getting together in one of those little rooms across the hall and we’ll see how we get along? I just may be the perfect cat for you, but we’ll never know until we try. And I’m not the one who has to start things by filling out the application. Please come see me at Animal Friends!
It’s not hard to see why I’m named Sunshine. I’m a beautiful white shorthair with the prettiest yellow-green eyes you’ll ever see. And like the sun, I’m warm and cozy!
I warm right up to most people, whether you’re a stranger or an old friend. I love exploring, like most cats, and I’m getting used to playing with toys. Ooh, and I love being groomed – what fun that is!
You might ask: do I like other cats? Well, it depends on the cat! Some I get along with fine, but others I’m not so sure about. If you have a cat, I’d be happy to meet them here at Animal Friends to see if we would get along!
I hope you’ll come by Animal friends and see me. After all, everyone needs a little sunshine in their day!
Ta-da! It’s me, Rimbo! I’m a big, strong Rottie mix who’s secretly a big sweetie at heart.
Like all the dogs here at Animal Friends, I’ve got a story. A landlord who had squatters on his property called the police who came and found…me! My owners had abandoned me there, but I think I’m much better off now.
I know a lot of commands like “Sit,” Give Paw,” and “Down,” and I’ll play fetch with you all day! Really the worst thing you can say about me is that I’m still getting used to other dogs. I may feel the need to challenge them to show who’s boss, but it’s something training can help me with. I’m very eager to learn!
So don’t let my size scare you! I’d love to find a real, forever home! Won’t you come see me at Animal Friends?
