Divine. I’ve already gotten a lot of my puppy play out of my system, and now I’m ready to be an easy-going companion. That’s not to say that I’m not affectionate and friendly; I am! Jaspar is an energetic guy with the cutest expressions. He is friendly and affectionate with people, and he enjoys other dogs and loves to play. Not much is known of Jaspar’s past, but it doesn’t appear that he has had the joy of spending time training or taking obedience classes. He does know the basic commands of sit and shake but hopefully this will only be the start of a lifetime of learning and fun for Jaspar and his new companion. Due to his adolescence and high exercise requirements, it is recommended that Jaspar be adopted by an active family with good experience. He enjoys riding in the car and would be a great companion on day trips to the park for a nice stroll or jog. Looking for a big love bug that you can cuddle with? Well, Chuck is your guy! He has spent time in a foster home and his foster dad said that he is a very sweet boy! He is very quiet and affectionate and loved placing his head in his foster dad’s lap and getting lots of pats. He was extremely well mannered in the house and is progressing well with basic commands such as “sit” and “stay.” And guess what!!! Chuck is housebroken! He loves going for walks and playing with his toys. He needs to be in a home where he is the only pet and would benefit from some additional training. Chuck does need a home with no other animals…Also, he would probably benefit from a home with older children because of his size. Chuck is back in the shelter waiting for his forever family to find him, so come on down to Animal Friends and start the adoption process!
Madeira is a spayed female who has come a long way. According to her foster parent, Madeira was once very timid and afraid to come out of enclosed spaces into an open room and did not like to be petted. Now, though, Madeira is friendlier and likes affection. She has always liked other cats and is very playful and vocal with them. This calico domestic short hair and Siamese mix loves to play, chasing teasers and batting them with her white paws. Her blue eyes, framed by patches of black and cream, playfully follow her moving target. Madeira’s foster says that she reacts well to dogs and is no longer afraid of loud noises such as a hair dryer or vacuum. Madeira is micro-chipped and up-to-date on all of her shots. Kane is a gentle affectionate dog who gets along well with both men and women. One look into Kane’s eyes and you can see how eagerly he wants to share his love. Kane’s favorite volunteers describe him as calm and easy to handle. Kane loves to play and chew on his pig ears. He is calm and relaxed during baths and car rides. Kane knows how to sit and is housebroken. He would love to take a class with you at Animal Friends University, so he could learn everything else he needs to know to please his new owner(s). Kane gets along with other dogs and cats. If you already have a four-legged friend, bring them for a meet and greet to make sure they are a good match. Kane would like his new family to take him on nice long evening strolls or an early morning walk. Kane is a little rambunctious at times and likes to run toward children. This may frighten little ones. We recommend that Kane go to a home with children over the age of 12.
