Klock Werks has added another option to the patented Flare™ Windshield line for 2014+ FLH Model riders. Calling upon their many years of air management experience, as well as customer feedback, requests, and road testing, Flare™ Low for 2014 + FLH models joins the already released 6.5”, 8.5”, and 11.5” options available. Klock Werks original, patented Flare™ Windshield is still the best choice for improved air management, complimenting the new vent/duct system in the 2014+ batwing style HD fairing.

“Riders that have purchased the 2014+ HD FLH models, vs the 2013 and older models, will realize that the fairing sits 1” higher, thus a greater need for the a Flare™ Low option that incorporates form and function,” stated Brian Klock, President of Klock Werks.

Klock Werks Flare™ Windshields feature “hips” at the sides that re-route the wind away from you while adding downforce to the front-end of the motorcycle to improve stability vs. riding with the stock windshield. The flip at the top of the Flare™ redirects air back as clean, less turbulent air for rider and passenger. The Flare™ doesn’t just block or push the air, it redirects the wind to improve your ride. Wind tunnel testing and real world riding and have proven that Klock Werks Flare™ Windshields continue to be the first, and best choice for riders everywhere. Made in the USA from hard-coated polycarbonate material for added durability and quality. Available in 6.5”, 8.5”, 11.5” and now the Flare™ Low (approx. 5”) for 2014+ FLH models! Flare™ Low is available in Black and Dark Smoke options online at www.kustombaggers.com, and through your local Drag Specialties Dealer.

GETTING THE RUNAROUND, Mustang’s Low-Slung Seat Goes Solo For Softails

76885_appsm

Mustang Seats created some rumbling around the V-Twin industry when they introduced the lowest, leanest seat in the line-up for Harley-Davidson® Dyna and FL models this past summer. Proudly made in the USA, the new RunAround™ represented a bold look at motorcycle seating without sacrificing Mustang’s legendary reputation for quality. Only one problem — Softail riders wanted the same seat!

“Ask and you shall receive,” says Mustang Marketing Director, Marilyn Simmons. “Mustang’s designers went back to the drawing board and engineered the lowest, leanest solo seat possible for 2000-2015 Harley® standard rear tire Softails.” Actually the fitments for FLSTS 2000-2003, FLSTN 2005-up, FLSTSC 2006-2007 and FLSTC 2007-up were plotted on the CAD-CAM machine, but you get the idea. For good measure, they added most of the other 2000-2006 Softails to the mix, including FLST 2006, FLSTC 2000-2006, FLSTF 2000-2006, FLSTSC 2005, FXST 2000-2005, FXSTB 2000-2005 and FXSTS 2000-2005.

“Our combination of New England craftsmanship combined with 21st Century engineering means your RunAround™ seat looks as incredible as it feels,” adds Simmons. “A well-designed baseplate is the key to success, so that was where the engineering team started.” A narrow front width of just 10.5″ for all the Softail Solo seats works in conjunction with the low profile which keeps the rider styling… without having to sacrificing too much in terms of comfort.

The controlled density polyurethane foam can be poured a little thinner without compromising the comfort, while making for a much thinner seat pad in the process. Made in-house at Mustang’s historic Three Rivers, MA facility, the exact angle and density of each seat foam panel is formulated and cast to be soft enough for comfort, but resilient enough to retain its shape and structural integrity for years, according to Simmons.

Creamy Caramel Crunch Rolls

breakfast

Is there anything better than Christmas morning breakfast?  We sure do love enjoying treats by the tree in the morning. They seem to taste even better if you are lucky enough to have snow falling down. This is a tasty breakfast to please everyone, and drive them crazy with the smell as it cooks.

Ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, cut up
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 16 ounce loaves frozen sweet roll dough, thawed
1/3 cup soy nut butter or peanut butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped honey-roasted soy nuts or honey-roasted peanuts

Directions
1. Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside. For caramel mixture, in a small saucepan combine the 1 cup brown sugar, the butter, whipping cream, and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour into prepared baking pan.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll each loaf of thawed dough to an 18×6-inch rectangle. Spread each dough rectangle with half of the soy nut butter or peanut butter, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges. In a small bowl combine the 1/2 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle half of the nut mixture over each dough rectangle. Starting from a long side, roll up each rectangle into a spiral; pinch dough to seal seams. Cut each spiral into eight slices. Place slices, cut sides down, on top of caramel mixture. Cover and let rise in a warm place until nearly double in size (45 to 60 minutes).
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake about 40 minutes or until tops of rolls are golden and edges are browned. If necessary to prevent overbrowning, cover rolls with foil after 30 minutes of baking. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm.

Denna Shoe from Harley-Davidson Footwear

DSC_5797_

By, Beth Folkerts.

I grew up a farm girl, one who knew her way around a camera and art studio, which dubbed me the ‘artsy girl’. I have always been known as someone who tries to infuse my own personal style each and every time I step out the door. About a year and a half ago, when I joined the Klock Werks team as their in-house graphic designer, I was faced with quite the conundrum: How do I infuse my own personal artsy style and still embrace the motorcycle lifestyle?

As soon as I spotted the Denna shoe, I knew I had to try them and that they would be perfect for me. Dubbed the ‘After Riding Shoe’ by Harley Davidson, they are just that. They are compact enough that you can easily store these in your saddlebag, or purse, and slip right into them once you have arrived at your destination. An added bonus to putting these shoes on when arriving at your destination is the comfort they offer, the design of the shoe seems to offer a bit more room for your toes to wiggle than other traditional riding boots. The ballet flat style of this shoe allows you to dress them up or down – creating effortless coordination with any outfit. The bold Harley Davidson emblazoned brass buckle on the toe is the perfect statement to any outfit.

Visit  Harley-Davidson Footwear.com to check them out up close and locate a dealer near you that has the Denna shoe on the shelf.

ChopTour_Side

Having focused solely on seats since 1980, Mustang Seats, LLC has learned a thing or two over the long haul. We have to agree with our friends at Harley-Davidson® when they say, “when you set out to improve the most respected touring machine on earth, you don’t take any short cuts!” With that in mind Mustang’s upgrade accessories for FL Chopped Tour-Pak® equipped models cut no corners!

One “Loud” Bagger

This 1999 FLHT standard is “loud” on many levels. Between the “loud” paint scheme, to the seven pairs of KICKER power sports and marine style speakers, to the 12” sub stacked in the tour pack – this bagger is “loud” enough to surely get your attention. The FLHT sports a “loud” stance with wide 180 tires on both front and rear wheels. Modified Klock Werks front and rear fenders, Klock Werks curvaceous upper fillers, flush mount axle, and KlipHanger “Splitter” handle bars were all used to kustomize this bike.
