Need a New Riding Jacket?
Are you still sportin’ that lame ass “pleather” jacket you picked up at bike week 9 years ago?? Um, time to upgrade… Check these out from Z1R. The men’s Marauder and the women’s Burlesque. These jackets display Classic styling and quality materials which make them perfectly suited for all-day riding comfort and protection.
We especially like the fact that the women’s Burlesque jacket is feminine without going overboard… ya know no extra frilly, lacy add on’s.
BTW, Whoever wins our Ultimate Biker Makeover is going to get hooked up with one of these Z1R riding jackets, so hope you entered, voting will begin here at Garage-Girls May 15th 2010, so get ready to cast your vote!
Miles
You won’t find a prettier or happier-looking dog than Miles which is amazing considering that just months ago, he was rescued from a basement. No one deserves a home more than this friendly, high-energy rottweiler/german shepherd mix. Young, enthusiastic Miles is working on his manners, learning how to interact with other dogs, and would love someone to continue his training at home! Visit Animal Friends to learn more about Miles!
Check it out, lookin’ to lower your front end AND Improve your ride?
Progressive suspension is all over it… after releasing the Monotube Fork kit, a true high performance front suspension for the HD Touring line. Basically Progressive replaced the sloppy open bath damping found in HD forks with a set of sealed and gas charged dampers (like a high end shock) and combined it with custom tuned fork springs. So anyway this set up is pretty killer and tons of requests went in for that set-up in a lowered version. Once again Progressive delivers, and you can now get the kit
in a lowered version that includes the option for 1” or 2” drop in a single package. Check em out! http://www.progressivesuspension.com/monotube/index.html

JAZZY
Hey cool cats! (A little feline humor there). I’m Jazzy, and I’m one of the staff favorites here at Animal Friends. With my long gray hair, you won’t find a cat who’s more fun to pet.
I should say, however, that I like to come to you. I’m fidgety when you pick me, and will struggle for a few minutes before finally settling down. It’s too much effort – just let me pick my times and then I’ll curl up on your lap.
I’ve lived with other cats and dogs, although they may not be my best friends. I like people and enjoy being groomed and stroked, and I’m just an all-around mellow, calm kitty. Stop in at Animal Friends and say hello!
Bicycle Anatomy 101
So, we have been getting lots of mail about bicycles, specifically about what should be done to get them road ready for the season. We thought it would be best to show this video about all the components of a bicycle first, get yourself familiar with your bike and the placement of everything. Once you have a feel for the bike then we can dig into basic maintenance and things we should be performing in our Garage! Hey, if you have pictures of you tearing it up on a trail or cruising on the streets send them in to sara@garage-girls.com
